Comcast readying 11 HD newcomers for Portland, Oregon {Engadget HD}

May 11th 2008 11:36AM Comcast in Portland,OR..I'm in Vancouver WA, in the Portland OR market. There seems to be a big variation in the pq among the HD channels. ESPN and CNN are amazing, while others range from excellent to so-so. I watch some action sports and notice that HBO has more boxing/pixilation that Showtime or Versus. My main issue, however, is the "stretching" that occurs on some of the non-premium channels like Food Network, some TNT shows, etc. Everyone looks wide and fat :). I cannot adjust this with my display or by settings on the HD receiver. Also, when is CBS going to broadcast their national news in HD? They/CBS seem very slow on the uptake. EOM
