I paid $22k for a brand new Passat 2.0T wagon. Article lists high prices but you can get these cars for much less.

Jul 24th 2008 12:40PM Most Amercans try to get more car for their money so they'll buy Hyundai or Toyota. I looked at Toyotas and they are cheaply built, so bad that I bought another VW. Show me a car in that price range that has better quality. Maybe reliability is better, but this means you just can't afford it. And you don't need a car, you need an appliance.
