New MacBooks to be based on NVIDIA GeForce 9400 / 9300 chipsets? {Engadget}
Oct 10th 2008 7:10PM Pardon my ignorance, but how does this impact the ability/inability to play Blu-ray movies with these particular video chips? This is assuming that Apple enables Blu-ray in 10.5.x or Snow Leopard.

I'm new to the Mac and thought I'd try this. I had to use the "Command" key, not "Option" as you described.

Wow, a million subscribers. I wish they would get a clue and upgrade their HD line up. I heard there is a major upgrade arriving by the end of the year, but come on already!

Mini-review of Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Leopard Edition {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jan 2nd 2008 10:48PM I'm a soon to be switcher awaiting a refresh of the Mac Pro. In anticipation of my future Mac goodness, I requested this book for Christmas.
So far I've read through Chapter 6 and I'm looking even more forward to making the switch. There are so many little things possible in OS X that I cannot do in Windows. While I like Pogue's Think Geek tv series, I have yet to laugh at some of the attempts at humor in the book.
Overall I'm very pleased with its readability and detailed explanations of how to take full advantage of the OS.

Why Jobs is going to London: EMI is ditching DRM {Engadget}
Apr 2nd 2007 12:22AM I'm happy to see progress is being made in this area.
I was curious what artists are on EMI's label and found the list here: http://www.emigroup.com/About/Music/Default.htm. I see quite a bit of artists that will be added to my library if this is true.
Engadget HD giveaways: win a Samsung HL-S5679W DLP with LED backlight {Engadget HD}
Nov 22nd 2006 9:33AM I plan on using it with a 360. It does everything and more than I'd want from a console. The PS3 doesn't appear to blend in with the existing pcs in my house.
Rainbow Six: Vegas multiplayer impressions {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Nov 17th 2006 8:10PM I've been all over the map whether to buy this or not. I was first very excited when I saw the videos and read the reviews based on the beta versions.
Then I played the single-player demo. Hated it. I couldn't stand the controls (GRAW spoiled me rotten) and the graphics were a bit disappointing as well. After forcing myself to play the demo a couple of times, I decided not to buy it.
Then I played the multi-player demo. I'm not certain that I'm going to buy R6V, but I'm leaning in that direction right now. I really enjoyed the online matches I played earlier tonight. I like how the maps feel large, but confined that lend itself to team work to take an an enemy.
I'll probably rent the game and take it for a spin before deciding to buy it or not.
