Windows commercial gets wrong message across on 4:3 sets {Engadget HD}

Nov 20th 2008 12:05AM This isn't a screw up, it's just changing times. Calling this an "epic fail" is like calling Hulu or something of the like an epic fail cause it doesn't work right on a 28.8 baud modem.

Blu-ray releases on October 7th 2008 {Engadget HD}

Oct 6th 2008 2:50PM Umm, why wouldn't the kids room already have a 42" plasma. Nothing puts a toddler to sleep like Baby Einsteins on a 72" DLP.

TNA Wrestling preps for first ever HDTV broadcast {Engadget HD}

Oct 3rd 2008 10:19AM Useless knowledge for the day: TNA actually broadcast in HD long before WWE. When TNA started as a pay-per-view only brand like six years ago, some of these broadcasts were available in HD.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Hauppauge adds 5.1 support to the HD-PVR {Engadget HD}

Oct 2nd 2008 12:42AM Of course it will let you record the stuff already on your DVR. Just press record on your computer and play on your DVR. And if you get something like BTV or Sage then you can use that as your tivo and it will change channels and record shows from them on straight to your pc.

Sep 25th 2008 3:08AM Also a 1080p rip is nothing quality wise compared to 1080p from the disc, simple compression. Like why a 6 megapixel camera phone looks like shit compared to a 6 megapixel DSLR

Hands-on: Sony shows off prototype 400-disc Blu-ray Mega Changer {Engadget HD}

Sep 10th 2008 4:56AM 40 bucks!! Unless it's a big set I assume you mean 20-25 for most new releases. Pretty comparable to what DVD's were a few years ago. And this thing does handle DVD's and CD's too.

Comcast takes AMC HD / TLC HD south to Jacksonville, FL {Engadget HD}

Jun 25th 2008 1:12AM Apparently Mr. Miyagi is unphased by this news

Hauppauge HD-PVR now shipping {Engadget HD}

May 31st 2008 12:22AM Agreed, what good is a HTPC?

(Other than being able to add space whenever you want, organize your media with whatever frontend you want, and burn movies to recover space)

...But still!!

Hauppauge HD-PVR shows itself, pre-order said to be coming soon {Engadget HD}

Apr 4th 2008 5:26PM The two sets of component inputs (and optical sound) are because one is for input and one is for output. So you run component video and either red/white or optical audio to this box. It then outputs it back out to your tv/amp/whatever, as well as compressing it and sending it over USB to your computer.
