It would be a whole lot more interesting to me to see the Blu-ray recordable decks hit the U.S. I'm sure there would be some kind of HDCP issue, but it would be nice to occasionally be able to archive off my TiVo without getting the PC involved.

Oct 2nd 2008 9:57PM If their Blu-ray HTIB is any indication, this could actually be a pretty good receiver. I usually hate HTIBs, but the Panasonic one was pretty decent.
I have a BD30, so this may be just the ticket when I finally pull the trigger on a new receiver.

Throwing in the DVD for free is cool too, since there aren't any Portable Blu-ray players for the car ride to Disney World just yet, though personally I prefer the Digital Copies being done on Nightmare Before Christmas and Wall-E.
Personally, I hated HD DVD combo disks. They always gave my Toshiba HD-A1 problems. I prefer just getting the extra disk, like Disney is doing here. And honestly, I'll probably never even use the DVD anyway.

Aug 7th 2008 2:10PM Get a Yamaha Receiver with Klipsch Quintet speakers and 10" sub. If your BD Player has Dolby True HD/DTS HD decoders, I recommend the Yamaha 463. If not, look at the 663. Either way should be under $1000, and Best Buy usually offers a discount when you buy Yamaha with Klipsch.
