Aug 10th 2008 12:25PM Samsung i900 omnia. I want. I want a CDMA version but I want almost enough to get a GSM version. The iPhone never did that for me.

Jul 7th 2008 11:46AM You seriously think that detecting a giant asteroid isn't money spent on our planet? Genius. If an asteroid the size of Alaska hits anywhere there won't be any need to feed the homeless. Baby steps, though. We'll get to the homeless.
MIT reinvents the Post-It note... with Post-It notes {Engadget}
May 2nd 2008 4:00AM I would use the hell out of this thing at work because I could go get numerous samples of things to run tests on and everytime I do that 1-3 people ask me to check on something else while I'm making my rounds. I could just jot it down and when I got back to the lab hook that up and have it on the computer that I do all the data analysis on anyways so I would be less likely to forget plus more efficient since I wouldn't have to come back out there to ask them what they wanted. Granted, not the masses, but I could make very good use of this thing at my job.
Samsung launches the NV40, NV30, NV4 and NV24HD digital cameras {Engadget}
Feb 9th 2008 3:31AM in all honesty, it's a really sweet system. I had the NV10 as well but it got dropped and I'm now sporting the NV7. Both take pretty good picture and the menu system is pretty simple to get used to and is especially more handy when taking multiple pictures in manual modes where the light can be drastically different when you turn 45 degrees. I found it pretty useful taking pictures in the wilderness and also in bars. You can get good pics in auto-mode but you can access better effects and settings and things quickly with that system and it's really handy. I'm humoring jumping up to this, I like it so much. Might wait for something with a better zoom though.
React's Guitar Hero pedals mean you're potentially taking this too seriously {Engadget}
Jan 31st 2008 11:33AM Just pick up a guitar instead of playing guitar hero. You might be amazed. To be ok at guitar isn't that difficult. To be Steve Vai or Dimebag Darrell on guitar it takes your life. If you don't have aspirations of becoming the next person guitarists everywhere look up to you really aren't looking at investing too much time in something that can be much more rewarding than guitar hero.
All the people that promoted it weren't expecting people to be calling themselves "guitarists" because of this game I'm sure. It is somewhat insulting to someone who is truly a guitarist. I've played guitar for 8 years now and I don't consider myself a guitarist. I'm a guitar player but not a guitarist.
And the Digitech Whammy pedal is a blast if anybody wants to know. Tons of cool sounds to come up with and new techniques to teach yourself while learning to use it.

Wal-Mart now selling Toshiba's A2 HD DVD player for $198? {Engadget}
Oct 25th 2007 12:57PM No kidding! :( I can't stand smileys either:( seriously though they are annoying but we do know how good we have it. That's why we want to keep it. That's why some of us are willing to fight for it.
JD Power ratings put BRAVIA LCD, Pioneer plasma, and Samsung DLP on top {Engadget HD}
Oct 11th 2007 4:09AM Did some of you guys fail to notice that the award wasn't for "Highest Pixel rating" or "White to black speed" or "Jason's favorite TV" and is instead for highest customer satisfaction, picture and sound, ease of use, features and styling? I don't know if we missed that part. It's an overall generalization. It doesn't say "These are the clear cut best TVs available, hands down, no question, and if you buy or have bought something else you must have hit your head." Basically that means they are the higher end of average TVs. That's all it means. Chill a bit.
