Onkyo unveils TX-SR576 and TX-SR506 receivers {Engadget HD}

Mar 19th 2008 2:26AM According to the detailed specifications outlined via other websites and news articles, the NEW Onkyo TX-SR576 does appear to handle the new audio codecs that the Blu-Ray 2.0 players (soon to be released on the market per Sony) will have has a feature. That being said, this Onkyo unit will handle the said audio codec found in most of the Toshiba HD DVD players that are still being used. Onkyo's USA website has all the specs for this and the other new 505 unit..check it out. This unit, however, looks like a winner. Let's hope there are no heating issues with both units..heck, these may be the replacements for the 605 and 705 units that most say run very HOT.
