Microsoft exec says Apple asked them stop airing Laptop Hunters ads {Engadget}

Jul 16th 2009 2:31AM I switched to a Mac about 3 years ago and I will never go back to a Windows machine. Not because I hate Microsoft (I don't, I love my Xbox and I used a PC for many years before that), I will never go back because of the amount of satisfaction I have received from the Macs I have owned. My last PC lasted a good 3 years and then the mother board went out, I also remember I had to constantly defrag the hard drive, and reinstall windows, had to spend a lot of money to upgrade it to keep it going the way I first got it, had to constantly run virus programs and spyware programs. With the iMac I have never had a virus program installed, spyware never have to worry about it, defrag the hard drive....not any more.

I am a happy Apple owner, I have an iMac and iPhone. When I have had issues my local Apple store (in Bellevue Square for any one in the Seattle area) while just about always busy, has always been able to help me. You can even schedule an appointment online and it;s easy.

I am just satisfied with the Apple experience. I would say I am "fanboy" but I still use a windows machine at work and I don't mind. My personal choice is a Mac. For those that have to "hate" on the other company get a life, so what if I feel the extra money is worth it. It's my money. I enjoy the mac and pc commercials. The laptop hunters...not so much. It feels that they are forced to talk about the Macs just so they can get a shot in at Apple.

To those who feel they need to try to prove that their preferred computer choice is better....grow up! If everyone had the same taste and style this world would be boring. If you don't like Apple or if you don't like Microsoft good for you, but the entire world doesn't need to hear that "apple sux" or that "M$ is cheap". Get over yourself and just deal with the fact that people like different things and have different experiences. Just because it happens to you doesn't mean it happens to everyone. The internet is like the daily news, you only hear about the bad. Just because it seems like a major problem because a lot of people post about it doesn't mean it is a problem. The people that have technical problems are just a fraction of those that actually own it.

I'm done. I'm an Apple user and if your not that's fine with me.

Comcast jacking up cable rates 4.6% on average {Engadget HD}

Oct 8th 2008 9:08PM Here in Seattle our rates on cable have already gone up. Basic cable went up $1, HD service went up $1, equipment went up a little, and the franchise fee and taxes went up.

As mentioned in the article, my internet price didn't budge.

This sucks! My overall bill is like $10 more now. Guess it is time to threaten to leave so I can get a better price.

Highlights from Sony's E3 2008 press conference {Joystiq}

Jul 15th 2008 4:25PM To me this seemed very focused on the PSN side and basically said "Hey look at us we are more like Xbox Live Now!" I don't get what the hype is all about with the video store. I have been able to do that on the 360 for a while now. I Didn't see Nintendo's but Sony didn't do anything to get me excited (and when they showed the video montage of games at the end I only counted like 2-3 exclusives not 10 (or whatever the number he said was))

PSN video delivery service with 8 studios to launch tonight {Joystiq Playstation}

Jul 15th 2008 4:17PM I don't see what the big deal is. Honestly, while I love my PS3, I have been able to download movies from Xbox for awhile now. Most of these studios are on the xbox and the xbox has HD downloads too (similar to this some are HD some are SD while some are both). So regardless of the Netflix thing, xbox 360 has been able to do this for awhile now. Guess I just don't see what the big hype is (unless you don't have a 360 then this is great!)

GRID vs Gran Turismo 5: Prologue {Joystiq Xbox}

May 13th 2008 10:06PM All this feuding about this video is stupid. This is a joke. The video is meant to be funny and just for laughs. For all we know this was footage taken from the PS3 version of GRID! It never says what console it came from...it is just one person's opinion on what game he/she likes better.

That said, I have played the GRID demo (360 version...PS3 takes way too long to download and what's with having to wait to install the demo after you waited so long to download it? Rather pay for a better service than get one for free that isn't complete) The GRID demo is fantastic, graphics were good for a demo and the in game crowd was awesome! Can't wait! (And one more thing, I don't get why someone would pay 40 bucks for an incomplete game...prologue...and then pay another 60 bucks for the full game later on. Sounds like taking advantage of your consumer if you ask me).
