Jan 3rd 2009 10:58PM I so have been waiting for a solution like this forever, unfortunately I'd pay $100-$150 tops. I've already run Component throught my house, but this might allow me to modulate multiple channels from different sources (Media Center, DirecTV DVR, Blu-Ray, DVHS.

Sony HDTVs found most reliable in PC World study {Engadget HD}

Dec 4th 2008 10:39AM That's funny, I bought a westinghouse 32" for my daughter from best buy and then looked up the reviews for said TV's online. Lot's of problems with these sets. Then I started noticing the number of refurbished Westinghouse TV's at places like buy.com and ecost.com. I took it back and got a 32" Toshiba for slightly less from HHGregg. The reviews on this particular Toshiba set was very high and it seems like Toshiba problems are fairly low if you look on the web. Westinghouse seems to have more problems than most. So, not sure about the accuracy of this poll.

I was going to link to the best buy review, but the westinghouse has since been removed from their site.

Poll: So, what are you HD DVD early adopters going to do? {Engadget HD}

Feb 17th 2008 9:50AM I bought an A1 for $380 back in June of 06. I've never sold an HD-DVD movie. I don't buy movies or gear thinking that they are an investment; I knew my gamble with both formats. I've got about 26 HD-DVD's and 20 Blu-rays. I hope to find another great HD-DVD player for really cheap within the next 6 months. Maybe an AX2 or A35. My Blu-Ray player is a PS3.
I'm not mad that Blu-ray is about to win, the extra 20 gigs of extra space and the great scratch resistance are big benefits to me. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the Matrix trilogy, King Kong, Batman begins, SuperMan returns with Dolby TrueHD, Transformers, The Bourne trilogy and the list goes on in HD. I also hope to get some additional HD-DVD's at a great discount. I remember when laserdisc went away; I got some great $5 discs that I enjoyed for many years. I'm sure going to miss those buy one get one sales tough.
