The Palm Pixi is official, headed to Sprint this holiday season -- we've got hands-on and video! {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 23rd 2009 10:46PM I don't understand why people are not happy with this device being on Sprint. Sprint's network has been very reliable for me for the past 10 years I have been with them. Additionally, I will then point the question to the iPhone, why have that only on at&t? Good for Sprint, they will now create draw for webOS, at least until their exclusivity runs out.
Echostar shows off its SlingLoaded T2200S HD DVR for cable {Engadget}
Mar 30th 2009 7:04PM Seems like a cool device, but why a cable technology, on a Dish receiver? Maybe Echostar will release this to consumers so that they can put their operator's CableCARD in?
HP set to introduce 16-inch AMD-based dv6z laptop {Engadget}
Mar 24th 2009 10:05PM I hope you didn't mean Pentium 2, even though sometimes I get the feeling AMD CPUs are that slow. All kidding aside though, 45nm processors in laptops would be very cool(literally as well).

Officials urging new TV buyers to not junk their analog sets {Engadget HD}
Dec 21st 2008 8:58AM Wow, I have that same exact TV.
While recycling TVs is a great idea, not all can get to a center, which pose a problem. Big city people can easily find out information to get to one, while rural citizens are left with no clue. If the government or the CECB wants us to recycle, they need to inform people about where to dump their old TVs.
Vodafone responds swiftly, but modestly, to iPhone 3G pricing silliness in India {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 25th 2008 12:11AM I don't think people understand it yet, but India's mobile phone market is flooded with Nokia products. In addition to that, people are more interested in HTC and ASUS phones than the iPhone. The lack of 3G makes the iPhone a deadweight for 3G data services, which is one of the reasons it is selling like hotcakes in other countries. Apple has no name/brand recognition(in India), making a $700 USD price point in India nonsensical for sales.
Survey shows consumers aren't apt to trash analog sets post-cutover {Engadget HD}
Apr 2nd 2008 3:05PM Thats funny, I still have that pictured TV. :) As long as there is a converter box available, people(like grandparents), will most likely keep their TVs as long as possible and forgo the extra cost of a new TV.
Verizon whines to FCC: make it easier for us to gain market share {Engadget HD}
Mar 26th 2008 8:18PM I actually like this idea, as I am in such a dispute right now where my cable company is having "trouble" porting my number back to Verizon. Like previous posters have said, if the big price-gouging cable companies can do it, why can't a big(and terrible) telco company(a.k.a. Verizon) do it? Their video PQ is truly amazing, that sometimes, it's worth the possibly slightly higher price(and trouble of changing your phone provider).
Verizon adding 335 jobs to handle rapid FiOS growth {Engadget HD}
Feb 19th 2008 9:01PM Hopefully, this will help their horrible customer service.... oh wait, the couple call centers they have now treat customers pretty bad as it is. With the rising proposed additions to HD content on FiOS, this one was in the bag.
