Jun 18th 2006 11:49AM I saw several pro SXRD comments in this thread, so I'd like to share a con that I heard at Best Buy yesterday.
They had set up a Blue-Ray Demo in the store and decided to use a Samsung 1080p DLP for the display.
The guy told me the Sony SXRD line doesn't accept 1080p thru HDMI, only Firewire.
If that's true, alot of HD-DVD/Blue-Ray/PS3 people are going to be pissed.

Look for reviews of the 37", since I think all the features are the same.
I prefer direct-view technology and this is the biggest 1080p set that's affordable.

May 31st 2006 3:15PM I don't think they're bashing 1080p so much as 'small 1080p sets'.
Anything 1080p should be 37" or larger, IMHO.

May 31st 2006 3:09PM I was hoping this player would scale to 1080p instead of just 1080i.
That way I could buy a cheap 1080p display (Westinghouse) without worring about the TV's internal scaler.
