Ask Engadget HD: What's the best mainstream Blu-ray player? {Engadget HD}

Jun 3rd 2009 2:32PM Unless you know you are going to get some games as well (which would probably be a better investment on Xbox 360 especially after this E3) it is pointless to get a ps3. prices have come down enough, and even lover end models have all the important features. I would probably go with a panasonic, or samsung. Both excellent tech firms so you know you are getting a quality product.

Research finds that people still heart physical discs, greatly prefer Blu-ray to streaming {Engadget HD}

Nov 14th 2008 12:58PM It may not apply to every disk that i own, but the fact that i dont have to re-buy a movie that i want to watch over again is KEY. For example i own v for vendetta on HD-DVD (yea yea yea) and i watch that at LEAST once a year (see: 5th of november) its nice to not have to rebuy that every year. Not to mention streaming isnt 100 percent efficient. But with a disk, i have 100 percent of the high quality 1080p in the player, the whole time.

Election '08 coming home in HD like never before {Engadget HD}

Nov 4th 2008 11:25PM Many stations had hd yes, but i spent more than half the election waiting for my HD to kick back in when they kept going to local stations. Really annoying when i pay for hd service.

Ask Engadget HD: Which gaming console suits HD junkies best? {Engadget HD}

May 28th 2008 5:32PM The 360 simply has way more exclusive software. GOOD exclusive software. Whereas the PS3 is still waiting for its first good exclusive title, MGS4. (which does look amazing i must say) not to mention the superiority of xbox live. Xbox live is a streamlined service where playstation network still has a long way to go before it is as good. long story short, 360 is the way to go.

Juno Blu-ray Disc gets reviewed in detail {Engadget HD}

Apr 13th 2008 5:38PM Why is this article even on here? Am I the only person that finds it strange that Engadget would post a review of Juno? It just seems to me that there are better (in terms of HD) movies to rate.
