May 29th 2008 10:13PM I've had the BD-30 and the PS3. No contest, the PS3 is better. The main feature for the PS3 over any standalone: you will grow grey hairs waiting for your movie to load with a standalone after you've experienced the PS3. That's not even taking into account the awesome DLNA features. I really love Mkv2vob.

May 5th 2008 1:23PM Answered to the 2nd Yes. Sold my BD-30 on Amazon for a profit, kept my 10 free blu-ray discs that came with a BD-30 promotion, and bought the PS3 instead. I love the PS3.

Apr 15th 2008 5:13PM Did a similar thing, but it has been a very slow 4 year process due to buying a house, having a kid, having the wife stay at home, having another kid coming, etc. So I started with my receiver, then Paradigm Reference towers and center channel, eventually Paradigm Reference surrounds, finally got around to the Kuro tv this past New Year's and the PS3. I really wouldn't change a thing because so much has changed with tv's in those four years, but not much at all with speakers. My receiver is starting to feel dated though, since it has no HDMI.

Streaming video, music, and photos wirelessly from my pc, feeling like I'm using a dvd player with its speed on loading blu-rays, having the continual updates...
