HD DVD and Blu-ray releases on January 15th, 2008 {Engadget HD}

Jan 14th 2008 11:50AM @wordslinger

not at all.. the exclusivity of bluray and hd dvd movies are in the us and uk only... basically resident evil (made by SONY) is released on HD DVD through a low subdivision of SONY... they do this to give the apearance that they have nothing to do with it... and unlike import dvd's import HD DVD's are held to the same standards in different countries as our own.

Petition to keep HD DVD alive appears online {Engadget HD}

Jan 10th 2008 1:39AM no the ads are printed and made up a month earlier than the release... there is NO corporate letters or memos going to ANY employee at any store (i work there) about what format to sell.. the only talk is in the corporate water cooler where all best buy home theater employees are split half and half on which to support...

all retailers put items that they get credit for on sale. if toshiba gives them a $100 credit they will put that item on sale for $100 less... thats all
