May 7th 2008 3:35PM By technicality, Hitachi's 1.5" is a hd monitor, not a full tv. It only has 1 hdmi, 1 vga as its connections, no tuner.
I think most people looked at the girl more than the tv.

Feb 6th 2008 12:53PM HDlite = lower resolution. Directv through their compression system, lowers a 1920 x 1080i resolution to 1280 x 720i or something similar to that. People complain because you get more pixelation etc etc.

Jan 6th 2008 4:04AM People keep saying this is bad for the consumer or sticking it to the consumer, how about we look at it this way:
There are MORE consumers waiting on the sidelines to see who wins than there are people that bought into the format or purchased it over Christmas. PLUS Warner already said this holiday season will determine the direction they will go.
WHAT is really helping the consumer is having only 1 format, I honestly do not care who wins and who loses, but I just want 1 format, and so do A LOT of consumers out there. With 1 format, THAT is being consumer friendly, stop confusing the people.
Some of you complain about price, there's an easy solution to that, the generic brands or smaller brands. People will come out with cheaper blu-ray players just like they did for dvd players. Those will give pressure on the prices for them to drop.
