AT&T, O2 post updates on iPhone 3G stock situation, promise they don't have a secret cache {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 3rd 2008 9:09AM I'm pissed because I can't get phone with the preferred pricing unless I "extend my upgrade"
The AT&T people said do that at the Apple store.
.....I waited in line.
Apple said "you have to go to AT&T for that. you cant do it here. I know we have Iphones but I cant sell it to you for that price."
Now, if I want one I have to wait for AT&T to get the phones, I might as just as well wait for my extention date!

Feb 26th 2008 2:17PM Where can I find info as to why the profile 2 is better than 1?
And isnt it true the PS3 can update to Profile 2? So why not just use that as your BD player?
Xbox 360 Blu-ray player rumor returns right on cue {Engadget}
Feb 18th 2008 10:26AM "The 360's advantage over the PS3? LOL. Awesome."
Yea, it was an advantage. While PS3 was still trying to jam the BluRay into it, 360's had a year of Selling time.
Advantage, first to market.

PS3 to get upscaled DVDs, 1080p/24, SACD {Engadget HD}
Dec 29th 2007 9:55AM
(Note: we've yet to try 1080p/24, as we don't have any media mastered thusly.)
Wait? Are some BluRay DVDS not mastered in 24hz?
I just bought a PS3 for the BluRay, and my TV accepts 1080p but downscales to 768p. And the picture is not the JAW DROPPING picture of a blu ray with a 1080p set.
SO, I'm returning it.
To me, it looks like an upscaled DVD player. And to the average consumer, they will all be pretty angry when they get home and find out their big purchase of a BluRay or HDDVD from what they saw in the store is VERY different from what they have at home.
A HUGE difference.
Can anyone help here?
