Feb 18th 2009 3:59PM I use both. The best reason, for me, to continue using Blockbuster is that NetFlix has this boneheaded penny-pinching policy of only buying the original release of a movie.
Case in point, "True Romance". NetFlix only stocks the original, single-disc, non-anamorphic DVD; while Blockbuster stocks the original plus the 2-disc special edition DVD released later.

30 second skip discovered on Comcast TiVos {Engadget HD}
Jan 31st 2008 2:07PM Who needs Comcast TiVo. There's been a hack for this online for years:
Press and hold the Setup button until the Cable button blinks twice.
Type in the code 994. The Cable button will blink twice.
Press (do not hold) the Setup button.
Type in the code 00173.
Press whatever button you want to map the 30-second skip command to.

Dec 25th 2007 11:05AM I got mine on December 18, at a Best Buy in suburban Detroit, Michigan. I've noticed occasional bugs when trying to play some special features, but on the whole performance is great and my HDTV has never looked better.
