ESPNews HD set for launch March 30 {Engadget HD}

Mar 21st 2008 11:21AM Completely agree. You would think they would clamor for any opportunity to at least keep up the pace with the other bigs. Oh well, we'll see.

Poll: What medium delivers your HDTV programming? {Engadget HD}

Mar 8th 2008 3:57PM FioS and I love it. They just need to crank out some more HD channels and HD On Demand and I will be in nirvana.

Ask Engadget HD: What's the best universal remote out there? {Engadget HD}

Feb 2nd 2008 9:53PM Once again, touchscreens are horrible for everyday channel surfing! Allen and Shiek, all you are describing are macros, and any real universal remote has that capability. Sure, if you want to save money, go with the "ONE", if you want the best remote available, try the MX-980 from Universal Remote Control. At $599.99 it's not really even that expensive compared to similarly equipped remotes. Never pay retail though, that's just not right.

Jan 26th 2008 12:32AM Finally some sense and knowledge of the true control that URC brings. All this Harmony talk is making me wanna puke. Get your hands on a 980 people, you won't regret it.

Ask Engadget HD: What's the best universal remote out there? {Engadget HD}

Jan 24th 2008 12:44AM P.S. if you must have a wizard programming environment, URC makes the MX-810 just for you. It also sports real buttons and a gorgeous color screen. It's actually marketed to the do it your selfer, and the wizard is alot better than the Harmony(I still hate it).

Ask Engadget HD: What's the best universal remote out there? {Engadget HD}

Jan 24th 2008 12:40AM I absolutely HATE the Harmony line of remotes. The wizard programming is a joke when you need to tweak it can be like pulling teeth. I am in the custom installation industry and have sold exactly 2 Harmony remotes before we decided they were not worth the hassle. If you really want some control, Universal Remote Control makes the best in the game. I recently purchased the MX-980 and I have to say it may be the best universal remote ever made. It has real buttons, a beautiful color screen, and a real programming environment among many other powerful capabilities. I also own an MX-850 that does a fantastic job at about half the price of the MX-980. I would recommend both of these remotes over Harmony any day. All you Harmony fans need to check URC out, you'll wonder why you ever thought Logitech was any good I promise.

Pioneer's Project Kuro: The 9mm thick, infinite contrast 50-inch plasma HDTV {Engadget HD}

Jan 7th 2008 1:46AM Do you really want speakers messing this baby up. All pro line displays are speakerless. With a display that nice you'd better have a decent surround setup.

Skinit brings skins to D-Link routers, world sighs {Engadget}

Jan 3rd 2008 4:54PM Can you skin it to look like a Linksys/Cisco router?

I can't believe nobody asked this yet. I actually have no problem with D-Link, just thought it would be funny.
