Ratings for Heroes falling fast; Chuck not doing too well either {TV Squad}
Oct 8th 2008 7:50PM I'm not surprised to see Heroes losing support & I don't think it's because of the strike.
Personally, I felt let down by the season 1 finale. The whole season built up to a Peter/Sylar showdown & then nothing. The best we got was an off screen fight with some flashing lights a couple episodes prior (at the time, I figured they were saving the big clash for the finale).
Then when the next season started slow, I found myself losing interest even more & didn't really care that it ended prematurely. I pretty much watch it now because there are so few quality shows on.
On the other hand, Chuck has a new feel to it this season & I've loved it (loved season 1 two). I'd really hate to see Chuck get canned. That would leave Fringe & Sarah Connor Chronicles as the only shows I watch & from what I hear SCC is just about out the door as well.

Oct 8th 2008 7:43PM I'd love seeing Stewart in Doctor Who. However, I really wish the Dalek's would go on Haitus for a while.
I know they are probably the only villain universally recognized from Doctor Who, but it seems they've appeared as much (or more) in the past 4 years as they did in the entire 26 years of DW's original run.

Oct 7th 2008 11:42AM The "Lettuce" for me was future Peter being killed. Continuity is rough as shows go along, but they just established like two episodes ago that Claire can't die.
We've seen multiple times that Peter has absorbed Claire's ability - so how can he be killed?
Claire claimed that a shot to the back of the head should do it, but Sylar stated that "he couldn't kill her if he tried".

Scrubs is pointless w/o JD - not necessarily because Braff is so great, but the entire history of the show revolves around his character.

If my providers DVR had larger hard drives (or at least the ability to add an external) and multi-room viewing, I'd stick with that. But for now HTPC is the only way to go if you want your recordings available in more than one room.
You'd think they'd figure out how let their boxes talk to each other.

Jun 2nd 2008 1:16PM You can't record protected content over HDMI since it's HDCP all over it. You'd be able to capture unencrypted content (like your local stations), but if that's all you want, get the HDHomeRun instead.
The only way to get digital content to a PC is via the "analog hole". Hence the component inputs.
I just hooked mine up and now I can record all my HD programming on my PC's 640 GB hard drive (as opposed to the miniscuel 160GB drive in comcast's box). I aslo can stream my recordings anywhere in my house!!
