Ask Engadget: Which Android phone should I get? {Engadget}
Oct 30th 2009 2:38AM I wouldn't say I love the MT3G, but it works just fine for me. A2DP and my cheap Sony head unit keep me from missing a 3.5mm jack, and either the Donut keyboard is an improvemant over Cupcake's or my fat thumbs have just gotten used to typing on the little 3.2" screen. I wouldn't be happy about paying $199 on contract today, but all in all the T-Mo neutered Magic is a joy. It slips right into a pocket and runs all the newest apps. I've experienced zero issues, the battery last all day +, and lean clean home screens keep it lag free.
Oh yea, I'm also pretty happy with 300 anytime, 5 MyFaves, unlimited nights and weekends, seemless unlimited GV, unlimited data and 400 texts for a total of $81 a month including taxes and fees.

Oct 29th 2009 8:01PM My GF's 3GS battery only lasts for 2 or 3 hours and she doesn't do anything with it. I have push, BT and WiFi turned off and she still needs to stay near a charger to use the phone. I keep telling her to send it back but so far she hasn't.

Oct 29th 2009 6:43PM I don'y know how you feel about T-Mo or 3.5mm adaptors but my 3 month old MT3G runs plain Donut like a champ. The battery lasts a day and a half easily.

Sep 10th 2009 2:23PM One is from Moto, the other is from HTC, one has a slide out phisical keyboard, the other does not
Moto used to make the best phones money could buy, and before that the best handheld radios. Moto invented the car radio and the pager if I'm not mistaken. It would be nice to see them offer a decent phone again, and if you could run it over and smash it into asphalt then pry it up without any damage like you could their radios and pagers I might be a Moto fan again.
