That is wrong. Most measurements are sequental contrast. A simultanious contrast of 1,000,000 :1 would require a serious measurement device and some crazy level of inventive physics.

You missed the boat. 300 has done FAR better than the HD-DVD release. In the first week 300 was pretty even maybe 200k to 150k or so.
Then you saw WHY a low attach rate is okay. Each week after 300 stayed in the top 10 for HD movies releases on the BD side. It still continues to be a top seller. It has fallen quite far from a top seller on the HD-DVD side. BD movies may have only a small first week lead but, they sell in greater numbers for far longer than the HD-DVD's. This may be do due to HD-DVD's higher rental numbers and lower consumer investment.
