The Boy Who Ate Christmas {ParentDish}
Dec 1st 2008 10:18AM I think at 4 that spinach would have been a far worse "punishment" then the thought of doctors opening up my stomach and taking it all out.
Cinnamon - Is it Ceylon or Cassia? {Slashfood}
Nov 26th 2008 9:12AM I will be looking for this next time I am at the store. I love cinnamon! Question though... Does all the research that shows cinnamon to be quite good for you refer to the ceylon or cassia?

Nov 25th 2008 8:56AM Did I miss the memo that changed a century from 100 years to 40 years?
Nokia adds support for Lotus Notes in Symbian S60 {Engadget Mobile}
Nov 21st 2008 9:17AM I will have to disagree. I am using the newest version of Notes and while it is much improved (I was using version 6 for a while before going to 8), it doesn't hold a candle to Exchange/Outlook for pure email. I will agree that all the customization you can do on Notes is very impressive and, with the right programmers, trumps Exchange/Outlook. But, again, for pure email - which is what I'd say 80% of the users do with it - it really is not impressive. Most of the users I have that we have migrated to version 8 are incredibly frustrated with the load times, even though they have been issued brand new computers. Now, also, from the back end side, I understand email admins like Notes better, bug again, the 80% (guessing, using the 80/20 rule) using for pure email are not thrilled.
Focus on the Family Focusing on Holiday Wording {ParentDish}
Nov 20th 2008 10:47AM Yup, you are right! He is forcing things on us about as much as Roger is forcing his views on us (which, I don't think he is, but it would be beyond easy to say that he is using his own logic). We have the ability to make our own choices and, I am sorry to say, most people are sheep that are all to easily swayed by other people. Most of these sheep (I use that in place of idiots) think that everything is forcing them to do something, they just pick a path, follow along it and other paths that are presented are automatically seen as forceful and wrong. Oh well.
What is the world's tree per person ratio? {Green Daily}
Nov 13th 2008 9:11AM Let's see... Two 80~90 year old oaks, 70 or so foot pine, 2 more oaks of unknown age, poplar, and some various other (smaller) trees I do not know the species. So, maybe 10 trees on our little lot for 2 adults and 1 four month old, I'd say we are getting our oxygens worth! :)
Slashfood Ate (8): Drinking at lunch {Slashfood}
Nov 13th 2008 8:55AM I have seen more alcohol consumed at a Friday lunch in New Orleans (I am usually not out at a business lunch establishment on other days of the week as it is a trip down for me, so I can't comment) than many people have in an evening out. After lunch (always an extended lunch), everyone goes back to work and does just fine.

Boy drives to Grandma's house - alone {ParentDish}
Nov 10th 2008 10:21AM I think my grandpa started teaching me to drive around 10. 9 would have been a little young. This kid was probably doing a better job than half the people I see driving on a daily basis though.
