Nov 28th 2008 3:25PM I've gone through 3 Black Friday sales with Walmart and it's always been the same thing. At the stores I worked at, we tried roping off the areas, making people form lines, handing out tickets, and as soon as the sale starts, it all gets thrown out the window. When it comes to saving money, be it a lot or a little, consumers are nothing more than animals. Even at my first job in highschool at Big Lots many, many years ago, it was the same. I watched an assistant manager get his arm broken when he unlocked the door. The following year, the line was kept 10 feet away from the door by police and armed private security
Here's to hoping that some store will use one of my old suggestions and have armed guards handing out the merchandise instead of underpaid associates.
