India's Prasar Bharati plans for HDTV in 2010 {Engadget HD}

Nov 21st 2007 10:20AM HDTvs are only a niche market in india today. obvious reasons are, not enuff content/channels. but the most significant reason is need. there isnt just enough of a need at the moment for people to switch over to HD.

So this move by prasar bharti is a first. hopefully other channels will catch up someday.

I would give it atleast 5-8 years for HDTV to me main stream.
