Check out the read link and you'll see that the info came from Format War Central, a reputable provider of format war news, and UK's Amazon site did originally list the releases as Blu-ray, apparently by mistake.

Nov 18th 2007 7:39PM I have to agree with Sami on this one. Competition has made prices drop, and has led to some pretty sweet deals over the past few months. And the Consumer Reports article is probably right. There aren't a whole lot of differences in quality when it comes right down to it between the two camps. This TVSnob loves the ongoing format war though. I think it's absolutely great to see that kind of competition in the electronics industry, especially for us consumers. I'm totally neutral, but nonetheless loving the fight!
