Dec 8th 2007 12:02PM This whole format war is the BDA's fault. Before HDM ever came out, the DVD Forum was already in existence. Why couldn't Sony and the companies who now comprise the BDA have brought the Bluray Specs to the DVD Forum for debate and a Vote to see if the DVD Forum would adopt the Bluray Spec or the HD-DVD spec as the final HDM spec. In the end HD-DVD and BLuray are just names, it's the spec that counts. Sony and the BDA tried to sidestep the DVD Forum and the format war is the result.

Nov 17th 2007 12:44AM The consumer electronics manufacturers that make Bluray players should wake up and realize that the vast majority of people are gonna buy PS3's for Bluray players and not THEIR overpriced standalones. Maybe they should start making HD-DVD players.
