EndWar to brave retail this October {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Jul 19th 2008 7:28AM Ha Ubi gone soft and replaced Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six with this kind of game products? Is there another military/counter-terrorism CoOp game that allows at least four-players?

I may have to put my 10-month old PS3 to use beyond its current Blu-ray duties (never played a PS3 game) and try SOCOM. Tired of waiting for my next Ubi-fix.

Vizio's 42-inch VP422 plasma gets reviewed: you get what you pay for {Engadget HD}

Jul 17th 2008 5:40AM I'm still amazed people are trying to get anything out of any direct-view or flat-panel product considering the common application involves ambient lighting (that affects color, black level, etc.). If you want critical viewing technology then start with a controlled viewing environment first.

Even a $5,000 KURO isn't going to present a picture for movies with a lot of dark scenes when operating in a room with light. Yet, cows will be marketed well no matter the price point.

Octava unveils HDMI over Ethernet extender {Engadget HD}

Jul 14th 2008 12:07PM I can buy a pair of TrendMicro media changers that convert CAT to multimode optical (and back) for under $200. Why cannot they use these same optio-electric to do this for HDMI?

GM dropping Volt's range from 600 to 360 miles {Engadget}

Jul 9th 2008 6:13AM What a joke. They raise the price by 33% from $30K to $40K and now they are halving the range. Sounds like GM is trying to kill the electric car AGAIN. :)

Customers getting quicker to return flawed HDTVs? {Engadget HD}

Jun 23rd 2008 6:03AM I wonder what percentage of this is based on cowsumers simply feeding standard definition or compressed analog signals, viewing standard definition content, or watching HD content abused in its distribution through services like DBS and cable companies.

Garst, you are complaining about Vizio because of why? You paid too much for whatever non-Vizio you got? I look inside my Vizio and see LG as the panel manufacturer. Vizio makes none of the internal components. I do not remember you complaining about BMW using GM transmissions. LOL

A lot of factors can go into the cause of cowsumers returning product.

Plasma Display Coalition emphasizes picture quality {Engadget HD}

Jun 21st 2008 11:00AM "98-percent cited "excellent" or "good" picture quality" compared to what? Pathetic pillbox cinema houses or conventional boob-tube NTSC muted resolutions (color, pixels)?

Its easy to take ten year old technology and get someone to respond that its terrific if the only thing they've seen of late is 50-year old technology.

Another ignorance is bliss illustration.
