Poll: Do you own / plan to own an HTPC? {Engadget HD}
Jul 7th 2008 4:10PM Yes sir, had one for a number of years now and I'm just getting ready to upgrade it again. Use it for TV, DVDs, downloads and Blu Ray and HD DVD that I have on a media server thanks to AnyDVD HD.
Not to mention all my music, weather, RSS feeds and viewing family photos of that recent trip to the largest ball of string in the world !

Apr 25th 2008 11:03AM wth... most of the content is Disney animation (Kim Possible, Proud Family, Recess etc.) or non-HD produced content to begin with.

Mar 14th 2008 10:23AM Well that's no good. Shoes come in sets (usually) and everyone knows that owning the complete set is worth way more than an incomplete collection.
So... you'll sell me your $70 shoe and then create a huge demand for the only remaining item from the set. Forcing me to pay some exorbitant amount to complete my collection... oh no you don't... I'm on to you...
Future Shop offers trade-in credit for HD DVD players, will donate old decks to charity {Engadget HD}

Ask Engadget HD: Does Blu-ray show enough love to 720p HDTV owners? {Engadget HD}
Feb 27th 2008 12:42PM I would submit that it's basically the same difference as watching an upscaled SD TV show versus the high-def broadcast (mostly). Even moreso if you consider that some HD broadcasts aren't up-to-snuff as far as bitrate comparison with HDM.
Xbox 360 Fancast 057 -- Gee Dee Cee {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Feb 26th 2008 8:26PM Well someone had to write it... so it may as well have been me.
I take your point, but being the IT type guy I know that how long it takes someone to complain about something has no bearing on how long it would have taken them to choose an alternate method.
