Apr 15th 2008 9:06PM The RED team claims they can compress 2 hours of 4K footage plus 5.1 surround sound audio onto a DVD-9 and play it back on this new device. I call bullsh*t, but if their wavelet codecs are advanced enough, it might be possible. (It's impossible with DCT codecs like H.264)

Mar 4th 2008 10:45PM Actually, 120 Hz panels do the exact opposite. The software/driver algorithm to add frames is called motion interpolation. The 120 Hz panel is to doubly refresh a 60 Hz image in an attempt to minimize motion blur from refresh times.
