That is your opinion! It's not just a rebodied freestyle, close but it's not. The suspension is much different and it's a bigger car inside or atleast appears bigger inside. It is by far the most well built(in and out) that Ford has built in NA, EVER. I'll have one in my driveway as soon as they find me an SEL in Redfire CC with a white roof. Excellent family hauler, which is exactly what many people need.

Jun 9th 2008 11:46AM "The IRS in the '99-04 Cobras was a first step, a band-aid to an old chassis. A proper IRS fitted to a stiff, modern chassis would be light years ahead. The drag racers didn't like the IRS primarily due to extreme axle hop. But they have a fairly simple solution, whereby those that prefer good handling are stuck with excessive unsprung weight."

Not entirely true, yes it was a band-aid, but no it wasn't primarily about the wheel hop, it doesn't handle high horsepower and they break when you add any kind of sticky tires to the equation.

I guess we'll see how the Challenger and Camaro do once they start drag racing them with added power and sticky tires.

Jun 9th 2008 11:43AM Oh please. We are all allowed to drive what we want, if we want to spend more $$ for gas, so be it. Get off our backs.

Jun 9th 2008 11:40AM Well it's the cheaper way to go, it's the weight and what the buyers want. Most of the enthusiasts want a solid axle.

Jun 9th 2008 10:56AM Dude, you have no clue what a Mustang buyer wants. Most Mustangs are drag raced, not on a road course. Do you know that the 03/04 Cobra's had IRS? Did you know that 50% of the people drag racing those said Cobras replaced their IRS with a solid axle? And the 30% of the other 50% that didn't swap it had axles busting all over the place? Didn't think so. Stick with the solid axle, it's what the core mustang enthusiasts want. Kudos to Ford for giving it to US!

Jun 4th 2008 2:55PM And you can tell this by looking at a covered dash and no shots of the seats? Did you touch your monitor to feel those "low" quality seats? LMAO!!!!
