What does this even mean? I think you are one of those who is all caught up in the "HD Revolution!". I've been playing games at higher than HD resolutions on my computer for years now. 1280x1024 on most games, then my widescreen monitor at 1280x768. And this is on a computer that really isn't that powerful. Of course developers can write games that support high resolutions at high framerates. A friend of mine plays F.E.A.R. at 1920x1200 (which has more pixels than 1080p) on his computer and its fluid and perfect.
okay, back on topic. the SCEE CEO is a jackass for saying such comments about the automatic 5 million units that will be sold, regardless of software library.

Dec 7th 2005 12:32AM even without the PS3, you can hook up a PC and drive it at 1920x1080. there's a test. if the OSD reports that it's displaying at that resolution, then its 1080p capable.
