Gamerscore Blog's message to Japanese gamers {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 23rd 2008 3:00PM Guys, the big J isn't feeling MS or most of its products for the same reaosn I don't dig Sony or anime- it's not for me, it wasn't created with my tastes in mind and it could care less whether I enjoy it or not, it's going to continue to create crazy, brightly colored slightly homoerotic acid trip media and I can buy in if I care to (which I don't). The fact is, Japan ripped gaming from us years ago and made it stronger, better and faster (albeit much more crazy), and now that there's a serious contender on this side of the world, they're not taking real kindly to it. I mean, Gears of War, Halo 3, and Mass Effect will just never be Beautiful Katamari, Final Fantasy Series, or even Metal Gear. Different cultures, different tastes.
Give it up, Microsoft.
Nintendo: Hardcore gamers 'critically important to us' {Joystiq}
Jul 22nd 2008 12:27PM Were you the one that predicted the PS3 wouldn't have any exclusives that are worth a damn? Cause you were so right, man. Oh, and to answer your other question, I believe the system with the games and the games coming is the 360.
Nintendo: Hardcore gamers 'critically important to us' {Joystiq}
Jul 22nd 2008 12:23PM Real Nintendo fans pre-Gamecube are all already on the 360. Remember when Square and Rare were both not only on Nintendo, but Exclusive? I mean, we had great epic RPG's like Chrono Trigger and FF, plus Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo K, Killer Instinct, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark?
Guess how many new FF, Perfect Dark's (my personal favorite FPS of all time) and Banjo K's we'll be seeing on the Wii, and guess how many we'll see on the 360.
Have fun with "Cooking Mama Cook Off".
Almost everything you want to know about the New Xbox Experience {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 18th 2008 6:39PM Those damned Avatards will be fine as long as when I crank on the fatness, the thing actually gets offensively fat. Missing teeth, racial sensitivity and gruesome modifications will also be welcome additions to the universe. If I get an avatard that looks like someone that looked like my neighbor before walking into toontown with his Wii in his hand, I'm giving my 360 to an orphanage.
E308: Sony 'disappointed' by FFXIII for 360 {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 18th 2008 1:54PM Oh, good. I was just about to say I'm disappointed with Sony... uh, period. You know what? Take Japan, we'll split Europe, and never show your face inside my borders again. If we want to play a game based on your acid trip with the neighborhood pedophile, we've got your number. Oh, and take anime with you, too- enough is enough with that crapanese nonsense.
However, I will trade you rights to rock the Nike Airs for the right to keep Japanese BBQ and Sushi.
And the option to trade second round draft picks in 2010.
Thank you, Harmonix, Nyko, Naughty Dog, and you! {Joystiq}
Jul 18th 2008 12:52PM Yes, *epic* party guys and thanks again!
But, um... next time, could we all agree to look the other way when the ice chests start getting a little corona love? Please?

Cliff wants less controller buttons, more waggle {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 8:46PM While I don't think waggle is everything CB is making it out to be, I do agree that there has to be some innovation when it comes to console controllers. Layout and configuration changes just aren't going to cut it for the next-next-gen.
I applaud PS3's attempt, it just didn't really work out. It felt like more of a gimmick than a true feature.
Wii's integration of motion of course is revolutionary, but again poorly executed and is being horribly abused by the type of kiddie games and ridiculously low quality components it's churning out currently.
My suggestion? Give gamers the option. Why can't MS make motion controllers (in place of the analog sticks) AND traditional controllers? Then, we can have the option of using whichever one we feel most comfortable with depending on the game, and certain games can require the use of one or the other if it levels the playing field (or is a casual party game that relies on people acting like idiots in front of their videobox).
I mean, we used to have arcade style analog joystick pads for the SNES to play fighters, and we already have developed things like the big button Scene-It / Uno controllers (which are seriously much cooler than they might appear and work really well) that are under-utilized at the moment.
Regardless of how the current gen turns out, my money is going to the most revolutionary new system next-gen that has a balance of innovation and commitment to quality and generally "doing things right", which is MS to me with the 360 and might be Sony or Nintendo or somebody out of left field for the next one in a few years.
E308: Up close and personal new red and green controllers {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 6:02PM I know this isn't specifically in reference to this entry, but if you guys check out www.yahoo.com, one of the "news" stories is headlined "Sony Takes The Lead". The article is written by a total Ps3Fanboy who gives pretty accurate E3 converage, and then ends the piece (of sh...- j/k) by stating matter-of-factly that "Either way, this year's E3, so far, belongs to Sony...". What the hell? Check it out fellow X3Fers!
Outrageous.
E308: FFXIII team will find ways to compress and not 'affect the final product' {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 3:22PM This is indicative of a bigger issue to me: just how much movie do we want our games to be? I loved Mass Effect personally, with very few pre rendered scenes and loads of gameplay. If I wanted to watch a badly dubbed crapanese movie with no plot and even less creativity, I can find my way to the anime section just fine, thank you very much. The gameplay is what is important, and I doubt very highly that you can't fit all of FFXIII's gameplay and more on a DVD-9 if you left out the 4 hours of HD FMV.
