Ask Engadget HD: Is it (still) a good time to buy a TiVo? {Engadget HD}
Oct 29th 2009 3:21PM I've been with TiVo since 2001. That dvr is still running with a lifetime subscription at a friends ( 1 harddrive replacement). I now have 2 HD units. But, since I also have a windows machine next to the TV. If I was starting over it would be a tough call. Win7 media center is very nice. Only time will tell if the user installed cablecards will work as advertised.

Oct 10th 2009 11:27AM Better browser. Make Opera available in the app store :). Speaking of the browser, be able to syn favorites from your PC, Typing in urls is painful on the on-screen keyboard. As for making it a phone, I think we have to wait for Win7 Mobile, by then the software should be integrated.

Oct 9th 2009 12:43PM Right now I have 1 HDMI cable connected to my tv, what I really need is wireless connectivity between my receiver and the 5 HDMI devices connected to it. That would eliminate cables :)

Oct 5th 2009 11:18AM I don't see gesture navigation practical for TVs. Last thing I want is to change the channel every time I reach for my coffee, or flip off a referee :)
