Excellent post.
I think sales numbers will increase greatly by this time next year, just as dvd did. New tech generally has a slow start. As more people become aware & as prices come down it will give a big push.
It's just a shame the U.S economy and gas prices are killing people.

Apr 23rd 2008 8:11PM I've been saying that studios should do this for months. They could even decrease the amount of SD produced. Make SD movie only editions. There are alot of ways to push HD. (dropping the price wouldn't hurt either) They did this with VHS & Laserdisc and people just went out and bought DVD.

Mar 29th 2008 10:53AM The studios should just start phasing out SD DVD, as they did with VHS & Laserdisc. Or SD DVD with movie only. with extras on Blu-ray releases to help push the format.

Feb 29th 2008 7:35PM What do you mean got beat? It was just one title. Now if the total percentage was in HD DVD's favour, then it would have beat Blu-ray. This was an anticipated release, nd I think most HD DVD owners wanted a copy so you would assume it would take out the honours.
