Nov 8th 2007 3:24PM CRT based displays still out-perform any digital display units. This is a shame. Digital (and flat) have nothing to do with picture quality. Consumers are dumb (or the marketing division of Hitachi). What are you going to do. They would rather have something that fits on the wall, then have the best picture quality. It's like building a crappy car with the coolest finish. I am sure many people would buy it. But, who wants a crappy car?

Oct 2nd 2007 11:01AM I actuality, the 3-D effect is a real thing. I can't watch any set that can't produce this. Without it, the picture seems flat. It is only apparent on very high contrast devices. I have personally ony seen it with CRT projectors and the new JVC DLA-RS1. I would love to see this set in action.
