Oct 14th 2005 12:26AM Sorry to tell you this K, but there really are only two games in town. If you can't watch a DVD on a TV, then the masses won't bite. HD-DVD and Bluray have the support of a lot of players. The media, the dvd manufactuers and the deep pocket fat cats who can pretty much dictate whatever format consumers must accept. While I could see Walmart trying to package it into a cheaper version of HDTV when the real format comes out, I don't see much of a future beyond that.
