I'm not sure how everyone else feels, but I'm certainly not "basking." Instead of getting great releases on Blu-ray that I've had for months on HD DVD (Hot Fuzz, Serenity, Atonement, The Bourne Trilogy, etc.), I'm stuck with expensive discs and incomplete hardware and a pretty lackluster selection of content.
Call it sour grapes or whatever you want, but I enjoyed life much more when I could buy content on both formats. This "the consumer needs one format" stuff is just an excuse to sell higher margin players and software if you ask me.

Oct 1st 2007 4:21PM I believe this posting is simply Ben braggin'. In a recent podcast, he stated that he bought one of these Kuro sets. Now he's all a postin' about how great they are. Ben, you don't need to justify to us how great your TV is. I'm sure the extra 2 grand you spent to get a blacker shade of black is worth it. In your eyes.
Perhaps the title of this post should read as follows: "My name is Ben. My is bigger than yours."
Seriously though, I'm sure it's a great set. I'll put my...ahem...cards on the table and just say this: "720P." Scoreboard Ben. Until you can enjoy your super black screen in glorious 1080P, it's safe to assume that I'll be scoring more ladies with my Pannie 1080P plasma.
