Jan 20th 2008 5:59PM This sucks. I think GM is just being cheap here. If the Germans can get decent gas mileage out of their sedans, what stopping GM?
On a half-serious side note, I blame NASCAR fans for not demanding that the production versions of their favorite NASCAR driver's car be RWD (Dodge being the exception). Honestly, what joy is there in driving torque-steering monster such as a V6 Fusion or a V8 Impala!?

Dec 20th 2007 3:07PM I don't want to stoop to the Blu trolling level of the tool aka BBG here like he or she did on the HDDVD poll yesterday, but I wanted to comment anyway and hopefully you all understand that my comments below aren't intended to offend Blu fans.
For the past year I've said all along that the best Blu player on the market wasn't a stand alone player at all but a gaming system: the PS3. Now to be fair, I don't own a PS3 and have no intentions of getting one because I'm a gamer that's what I would use it for.
Having said that, I actually find it refreshing to see so many others agreeing that the PS3 would be the best option to go Blu, and would most likely be my choice as well if I so choose to. It's going to be Profile 1.1 fairly soon, which would help sway me more.
But now that I'm learning that it doesn't bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTSHD-MA, however, does lessen the likelihood that I would go for the PS3 afterall. Maybe another firmware update could fix that in the near future? Might just have to wait for a reasonably priced stand alone Profile 1.1 player then.

Dec 19th 2007 9:40PM I agree with Spiza: Go for the cheapest, but find one that offers the most free movies. I have an A2 that I purchased when it was $99 @ WalMart and get the 5 free by mail. Works fine and looks great on my Mitsu 65" DLP. Plus it's a small investment so anyone can buy into a HiDef format, especially when comparing it to its competitor.

Not sure what your situation has been with the Xbox360, but I lay mine horizontally on its side ALWAYS. Never had a major problem. Also I believe the vertical base is one of its main ventilation ports and needs to be unobstructed.

Jay H. had this link on his post for the format poll. Not that I'm trying to change your mind, but thought you might want to take a look at it anyway:

Either we've got 2 Ed's on this forum, or someone has made a fake post using my name.
BTW Ben, don't encourage picking on Joe Six Pack (aka J6P). Just like I said to h4Idol the other night, J6P will be needed to win the format war.

Damn, that's cold. VW deserves better (and for that matter, so does Mercedes).
