Sep 28th 2009 5:09PM You could try using the homebrew on-screen keyboard? Really this phone has been so good to me thus far I would be willing to overlook such things, especially with the amount of activity in the homebrew scene. Just a suggestion, though.

How would you change Apple's unibody MacBook / MacBook Pro? {Engadget}
Nov 22nd 2008 4:10AM Frankly I'm tired of hearing everyone complain about a matte screen option. I understand there are people out there who need something to reduce glare, but that's so far out of the realm of what I would use this laptop for that it makes little sense to me. I find that the gloss coat makes colors pop, works quite well for what it is in bright environments, and is generally easier to keep clean than a matte display with a glass bezel would be. Also, the screen adds to the structural integrity of the display, allowing it to be so thin and strong in the first place. I can honestly say that I've worked in bright environments and not once had so much trouble with the display as to consciously think "I wish this wasn't so glossy, so I could see what I'm doing."
Apple has also added a few features that I really like, in a way that I think is a bit of an acknowledgement of their darker practices. I got mine with the most ram available, and the price was reasonable. I didn't get an SSD drive because it's too expensive to justify, but having the option of swapping my current drive out for one further down the road is good future-proof insurance in my mind.
The glass trackpad was a bit of a problem at first. First, the click is very noisy, so I've taken to using the tap-to-click and dragging features. I've been an opponent of this tap-to-click technology for as long as I've been using laptops, but I have to say that the way Apple implemented these features was good enough that I often found myself forgetting the trackpad has an actual click function. I would also like to note that I did have a bit of a problem occasionally with the MBP taking too long to release a tap-to-click or locking the pointer for a second because it interpreted an accidental double click when really there was none, but the new firmware upgrade for the trackpad has really made this a nonissue. The only difference I can discern by interacting with this trackpad versus a traditional one is that it just seems to work better, which I think is what Apple was going for.
I understand if you rank me down for this, but I couldn't be happier with my new MBP exactly as it is. I see what Apple was going for with this machine, I like it, and I don't regret my purchase.
