Jun 19th 2007 1:03PM as I understand it, HDMI *prior* to 1.3 required a pixel clock speed of no more than 165MHz. However, the 1.3a spec could require to 340MHz depending upon what you want to push over the wire -- e.g., deep color at 1080p.
