Sep 30th 2008 12:12PM again... proves Plasma is better than LCD. I hope everybody begins to realize this cause it bugs me so much that so many people are misinformed.
Rumormill: Porsche developing Baby Boxster, a return of the 356 {Autoblog}
Sep 26th 2008 5:53PM is anybody else seeing some s2k styling cues in that rendering? from the front axel back looks very s2000'ish. I like the departure from the traditional Porsche shoulder lines, but...
Hitachi dials back plasma production, looks to buy from Panasonic {Engadget HD}
Sep 23rd 2008 8:53PM Only educated HDTV buyers who want the best picture will opt for a Plasma. I can't stand LCD's as well... I work at an electronics store and when I got there nobody knew anything. They all assumed that LCD's were better. I quickly changed their minds and now our store is up 4000% in plasma sales.
Spy Shots: 2010 Ford Mustang totally revealed - base V6, GT500 and interior {Autoblog}
Sep 18th 2008 8:42PM looks like a refresh, but it's probably best to not change it too much from a proven formula. Better interior looks like a winner. However, not my cup of tea. Soon, everyone and their mom is gonna have one of this gen and last.
Sharp's AQUOS BD-HP50U / BD-HP21U Blu-ray players eyes-on {Engadget HD}
Sep 5th 2008 7:09PM Sharps are so crappy these days... I use to think so highly of them but everything they've been crankin out is old last gen crap. Their current bluray players are slow and not intuitive at all. Little things like pressing play to close the disc tray and play the BD does not work. You have to actually press the open close button, then press play. Also the finish is crap. Cheap plastic that gets swirls and scratches by even microfiber cloths. As for their TV's? more crap... purple haze and bad screen uniformity problems. Horrible off angle viewing and sub par contrast. Also the remotes are cheap looking. I can go on and on... I'll just stop my rambling now... I've been working electronics too long. =/

Sep 4th 2008 5:45PM one problem about downloaded HD content... Almost all cable companies are going to do bandwidth limits. So unless they don't plan on watching many downloaded HD movies, there could be future problems awaiting...
Panasonic gives you 100,000 reasons to pick its 1080p plasmas {Engadget HD}
Aug 18th 2008 4:47AM because if you do have burn-in it's from negligence. Burn in is not an issue with this gen of panny and samsung plasmas when used for regular tv watching or movies. Don't even get started with what's covered and not covered in manufacturer warrantees. Does ur Sammy or whatever brand LCD have concierge service? =)
Poll: Did you purchase an HD DVD player post-format war? {Engadget HD}
Aug 9th 2008 12:31PM I bought a combo player for dirt for my HTPC and picked up a nice collection of about 30 hd dvd's all for under 400 bucks. From now on out, it looks like i'll just be buying blurays for 20+ each, but it was definitely nice stockin up on a high def movie collection for the price of dvd's. =)
I didn't care who won the format war... and to be honest both bluray and HD DVD look and sound the same to me. I just wish there were more movies that use 7.1 sound so I can make use of my home theater system. Why advertise it so much if rarely any movies actually have it?
Sharp intros entry-level SB series of 1080p LCD HDTVs {Engadget HD}
Aug 5th 2008 6:12PM they've fallen off so much. Their panels are delayed like crazy for mediocre picture quality. way overpriced as well.
Matsushita profit soars 86% on the wings of high flat-panel sales {Engadget HD}
Jul 31st 2008 10:39PM agreed, the most reliable/durable tv's for the money. No brainer for a lot of people. 50" 1080p plasma vs same priced 40" lcd display (samsung 6 and sony z). BTW, panny pz80u 50" is going for 1599 at sears plus 10 percent off instant with sears card. =)
