Aug 4th 2006 2:29PM Nevermind the charging station. This thing's just ugly. I wouldn't let it near my Mac. Picked up the BT Mighty Mouse and love it so far. No complaints about it being "heavy" etc.

Jan 11th 2006 7:31PM Oh, and call around if you have more than one Apple store near you. I first called the Alderwood (WA) Apple Store who told me they weren't expecting it for a "couple of weeks." I told this to the Bellevue Apple Store employee, who smiled smugly. The Bellevue store is definitely in a more posh part of town and the Alderwood store is, well, not. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Jan 11th 2006 7:27PM Picked it up at the Bellevue (WA) Apple Store today. Install took about 30 mins on my Mac Mini 1.42GHz, 1MB Ram. Installed it to firewire LaCie drive I'm using as my boot drive.
I like the concept of the new movie soundtrack editor in GarageBand, although when I was working with 16x9 footage, it displayed as squished 4x3 in the reference window of Garageband and was very choppy. (Was using DV footage shot with a Sony PDX10.) I'm sure a more robust machine would handle it better.
16x9 in iDVD is great.
