Sony announces 15 new Bravia 1080p HDTVs, including 70-inch LCD {Engadget HD}

Aug 29th 2007 11:49AM With all these new 1080p panels, are any of them TRUE 1080p panels that work at 1920 x 1080? I noticed a lot of panels have a NATIVE resolution of 1280x1024, which is not 1080p! look at the Sharp's LC42D72U - in the manual, it's spec clearly say 1280x1024.
