HDTV Broadcast preparations for 2006 FIFA World Cup {Engadget HD}

Mar 29th 2006 8:10PM Any thoughts about the compatability of 1080i host broadcasting with the US distribution through ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 of 720p?

Seems like host broadcasting of 720p would have been better for US viewers (especially after buying that 50" plasma last month for World Cup!).
