I live in NYC and don't want to deal with the hassles of car ownership but I occasionally need a car to run an errand or pick up furniture, girlfriend at the airport, etc. Even the daily rates are comparable to rental cars and it's much more convenient.

Sep 18th 2009 9:26AM @iGO: Not everyone has a 65 story house and 97 Macs. If you have a laptop and a desktop this is an excellent way to approach this problem. Just because it doesn't apply to YOU doesn't mean that it's useless.

Aug 31st 2009 3:53PM You don't even need GPS. Snow Leopard can figure out your location using the SkyHook database. I don't know what level of detail it can get though. That's how it figures out your local time zone.
