Thursday night daddyblogger round up {ParentDish}
Oct 12th 2006 8:34PM Yes! Thanks for the link! I also read a lot of these dads, and even though we are pretty new to blogging, I feel like I'm growing up with a lot of these guys.
Hopefully, if we continue to work hard, we will be the ones the next generation of daddybloggers looks up to, just as I think a lot of us got into blogging because of some of the "older" daddybloggers.

Oct 12th 2006 12:06PM I have a DVR from Comcast. I have no card card. I'd love to use cable card, but, if I undersand it correctly, there's no point, since I want the DVR anyhow...?
Oh, Canada: TSN SportsCentre HD launches today {Engadget HD}
Sep 28th 2006 12:41PM ESPN owns a share of TSN, so I imagine the graphics are just as good.
Moms want more, but they want it done right {ParentDish}
Jul 28th 2006 11:59AM I think part of the problem may stem from moms not getting dads involved right from the start. Some moms do, some moms don't.
I believe this is a problem because if you wait until later, most moms have already experienced the mistakes and learned how to do things better. Now, the dad jumps in, maybe has had no time to learn from his mistakes, and the mom sees him making mistakes right off the bat.
And let's face it - not every dad is going to know how to dress a baby (I'm talking about what looks good, not just getting the clothes on him), just as some moms, when the kid gets older, aren't going to know how to teach them how to fix a car.
Then again, there will be those dads who are just as good as mom at dressing and moms who are just as good as dads at fixing cars.
And there will be those dads that are BETTER at dressing and moms that are BETTER at fixing cars.
Just remember - this article addresses a segment of the population, and doesn't apply to all.
Overall, I think dads are getting better at being "moms". Hopefully, we will continue to get better.
Okay, I am done trying to cover my butt.. I'm sure someone will find something to yell at me about ;)
Lost: Live Together, Die Alone (finale) {TV Squad}
May 25th 2006 10:45AM I know you didn't see a lot of the guy they shot, but am I the only one that thinks it is the guy from the training videos? From the little bit of his head they showed, he appeared to be Asian, and he was wearing a brown coat...
There must be a reason they didn't show him. Don't you think they'd turn him over to see who he was and check his pockets or something?!
When will Peter Pan grow up? {ParentDish}
May 24th 2006 10:11AM Wait. Teachers have weekends off? How unlike most other professions!
I have to agree with Uncle Roger -- too much of the story is left off here. From the little you describe, he (and his friends) don't sound like such bad guys.
Maybe your guys is a Peter Pan -- I am sure there are plenty of guys (not a majority) who neglect their family to go out with the boys.
Is there a term for a wife who uproots her family and moves them 400 miles away just to take her husband away from his friends?

Dec 15th 2005 1:20PM I still have (somewhere) a Matt Groenig Life in Hell book that came with the Mac SE I bought back in college. I'll have to dig it up and see, but I think it was a bunch of Mac-specific "strips".
Pizza on eBay? {Slashfood}
Dec 1st 2005 4:09PM Don't forget New Haven, CT - better than NY pizza. As for shipping, I know my favorite Buffalo, NY place, Bocce Club Pizzza, will FedEx frozen, half-baked pies.
