Sep 24th 2008 4:22PM i have that stand! it wouldn't be any part of the home theater of my dreams, but it's not that cheap. there's no particle board, and it feels sturdy. it was a bitch to assemble, though.
actually, i will say that i couldn't fully assemble it... there's a screw that's supposed to go into the glass table top that i left out because it couldn't be screwed in without the top being totally skewed.
so yeah, maybe it does deserve a recall...

Aug 27th 2008 10:49PM blu-ray has to have no downsides in order to succeed? your logic is horribly flawed. i suppose the fact that in 1998 many families had a dvd player in the living room and a vcr in the kids' room should have doomed that format as well?
i'm surprised at the number of people who don't seem to remember dvd players as expensive and limited in the format's infancy
