Jan 30th 2008 1:00AM It's so sad to see several of the oh-so-pathetic Blu-Ray fans, taking yet another cheap shot, at HD DVD and its respective fan base. THese are the same type of people that would kick and injured person who had fallen in the street. (Disclaimer for the weak minded: This example is only to illustrate a point, no parallel to HD DVD fans is intended)
HDPurist - WOW! Seek some therapy, soon! If you are already in therapy, then fire that one and please, please, get another!
F.Y.I. there is NO such thing as a future proof BD player! Hell, you can't even find one that does ALL of what BD claims to be able to do NOW! Heh, Future Proof!
The retailer is selling marked up BD players for trading in a competitive HDM player, and you are sending Kudos out for this? Even other BD zealots should sit you down and have a stern talk with you about basic consumerism!

Jan 7th 2008 6:15PM Gawd! I sure hope that there is more creativity than this in the works! Especially if this still developing after 18 months BD interactivity crap, is expected to be forced down the unsuspecting throats of the poor HDM consumers!
I also would like to see how this crap runs on ALL of the various models of BD players, to see if there really is anything, anything at all that distinguishes all of the different CE BD offerings!
Not that I would buy into any of it anyway, but I have a morbid curiosity.

Jul 29th 2007 12:33AM It is high time that Toshiba gets serious in the world market place for their over all High Def strategy.... Besides, I personally am tired of hearing from the Aussie BD Fan Boys, about how there is no HD DVD to be found there. Viva la Revolucion! et C'est la Guerre!
By the way M$ has a pretty extensive relationship with Sony as well... =P So by your logic Sony must disappoint you as well.
