Pioneer shows off 16-layer 400GB Blu-ray Disc, affirms compatibility with current players {Engadget HD}
Dec 2nd 2008 4:20PM so let me get this straight, more content on a disc, while the best blu ray players take forever to load. So with this I wonder how long the load times will be... 2 days???
Hey Hollywood, how about some Blu-ray Disc price cuts? {Engadget HD}
Dec 1st 2008 7:46PM Galley you just proved my point and the articles point.
First mainstream is the point, why should people have to search when the norm should be reasonable prices.
Second… under 20 dollars for a movie is too much still. It should be less than 15 dollars.
Third the point of this article is not with production, when people buy, it will force production, but people are not buying and the article points to high prices.
Best Buy to sell exclusive Joker mask figurine with The Dark Knight {Engadget HD}
Nov 25th 2008 6:37PM Oh my god, this proves that retarded people make comments without knowing anything. This proves that people comment on crap they do not know about and pass it on as if they are right. Yes its mean what I am writing in regards to Eric, but people like him need to know their role and be queit. Anyways... I still like the Batpod over this.
Nielsen VideoScan High-Def market share for week ending November 9th, 2008 {Engadget HD}
Nov 18th 2008 6:36PM What do you mean lack of quality studio support??? All major studios support Blu-Ray. The real problem is that Blu is not that special to most people. I think its better to see things on Blu than on a upscaler, but some of my friends and my dad think that the upscaler is just as good.
Remember when you buy a DVD you can play it anywhere(Computer, DVD players, all video game systems except the wii off course, in your cars.) But when you buy Blu you are stuck to the one player you have. Even those of us that support Blu only have a player and cannot take that disc out of my home. So for the price of what your getting its still not worth it, Blu needs to be priced as much as a DVD and not more.
Ask Engadget HD: Best gaming / movie console: Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3? {Engadget HD}
Nov 12th 2008 10:05PM Ask this questions months ago and I say PS3, ask it now and I say neither. As most stated the PS3 is a great Blu-Ray player, but after black friday it will be an expensive Blu-Ray player with a couple of games. Hands down better gaming is on the 360. As for those that stated that they can download music and photos onto their big hard drive of the PS3, all I say is why??? you can see your photos through Media onto the 360, so I don't need to double, triple download, and Netflix is huge.
My question... How many movies do you need to own??? I own those I love and can watch over and over again, the rest I will download off Netflix and watch once. To me the 360 is logical choice, but again had we had this conversation in February, I would of agreed PS3 has the edge. But today November 12th, not so much.

Nov 10th 2008 7:40PM I want this guys crack, in 2 years I will make a million a year.
Back to reality and households don’t have 50% HDTVs, and I doubt that households have 5 percent Blu-Ray players and people think that with the bad economy that people will start buying into a new format that has lots of doubters, that is still expensive.
Again what crack can I start having?
Fox bringing Sideways, Donnie Darko to Blu-ray in February {Engadget HD}
Nov 6th 2008 4:33PM i can't wait for these two big budget, high octane, action films to be with perfect sound and picture quality that the masses are asking for... wait, these two movies are not all that... you mean Star Wars, X-Men, and other Fox movies are still not in Blu and these two will be. And people wonder why Blu-Ray could fail.
Poll: Are your new James Bond Blu-ray Discs acting up? {Engadget HD}
Nov 3rd 2008 11:15PM I'm hurt, no one wants all the bond movies???
anyways, I just want one (sane) (even Ben or Darren will do) person explain to me the real reason why HD-DVD lost to Blu??? Thats all I want to know. Don't say studio support, because that was the reason, but why they went that way is what i want to know. Conspiracy theories and all.
Cause if I get this straight, HDDVD was farther along than Blu, it had the benefits of being called HD (I'll explain that if asked), had Combo dvd's, live was already integrated, seemed cheaper, and I did not have any problems on any HDDVD movie which includes Matrix, Transformers, Spy Game, 300, and more.
