Spider-Man 3 didn't break any records on Blu-ray its first week {Engadget HD}

Nov 8th 2007 3:52PM "Of course a devout Blu-ray fans may argue that if Transformers would've been on Blu-ray, it would've sold 570k, but that's why we call them fanboys"

It's obvious that Ben is the devout Blu-ray fan and is speaking about himself in the third person. I can't theorize where he comes up with his phantom number of 570k.

Transformers grossed approx. 319 million at the theaters & Spiderman 336 million.

Both movies did pretty evenly at box sales yet Ben says Spiderman 3 would have sold 3 times as much on Blu-Ray. Yet Transformers still outsold Spiderman 3 in HD sales.

Maybe he thinks that everyone who didn't go to Spiderman 3 on the big screen just waited for it to come on the Blu-ray and play it on the PS3 because the logo "Spiderman" uses the same totally awesome uber graphics font as the PS3 logo.

Format war gets more warlike {Engadget}

Nov 7th 2007 6:46PM It's really disgusting a Blu-ray PS3 fanboi had to shutdown the avsforum for physically harming someone. This has proved Sony has really cornered the thug culture successfully.

Playstation users have been saying for years only little kiddies own Nintendo. Yet Disney flicks and cartoon movies like Spiderman and the awful Pirates films are really embarressing to be proud of.

90,000 HD DVD players sold in one weekend {Engadget HD}

Nov 7th 2007 6:26PM Engadget is a known subsidiary of the Sony Corporation. Of course the blog post is going to be pro Blu-ray and spin any positive news about any HD DVD success. As I'm posting this I'm seeing multiple posts being deleted critizing the article and suspect I will too.

DirecTV offering up loads of MLB postseason action in HD {Engadget HD}

Sep 10th 2007 10:14PM Irregardless of whether they deliver or not, this blog post seems more like a marketing advertisement than a journalistic article. I've never seen more kudos and accolades on a service that has yet to be provided.

HDTV Listings for September 7, 2007 {Engadget HD}

Sep 7th 2007 7:51PM Just saying that I appreciate your HD programming posts, even though they lack a lot of comments. Wanted to say I look at it every evening. Keep up the good work.

DirecTV's HR21 pro gets official {Engadget HD}

Sep 7th 2007 7:47PM That 100 hours of HD storage is really nice, but the exclusion of OTA is inexcusible. Sure you can still hook up an OTA to your TV, but not to the receiver. If there was an OTA input in the receiver you would be able to record the OTA program while simultanously recording up to two other dvr events, along with the OTA broadcast.

DISH gets deal done with the BigTen Network {Engadget HD}

Sep 7th 2007 7:37PM What's the point of beating people to the punch? It's all about marketing and promotion. No one really seems to notice if any results are produced. People are sheep.

Buy a Toshiba HD DVD player on Amazon and score eight free movies {Engadget}

Aug 28th 2007 6:16PM The PS3 has only kiddie movies made by Disney. I never understood why cartoons attract an adult audience. HD-DVD & 360 has a more adult and mature, dare I say "grown up" games and movies. Whoa...I'm becoming to sound like a Sony fanboi and what they say about Nintendo. ROFLCATS!

Has Blu-ray already lost? {Engadget HD}

Aug 28th 2007 6:10PM From his lips to God's ear, he speaks only the truth.

Michael Bay "drinks the Kool Aid," now supports HD DVD {Engadget HD}

Aug 22nd 2007 8:09PM Guys... don't you know the HD format war was over weeks ago. Engadget reported BJ's Wholesale Club was going Blue-ray exclusive. Nail in the coffin for for Toshiba, Microsoft, & Universal. It's inivitable, they are just supporting a dying format. ROFLOMGWTFBBQ11!!!juan!!1one!1111
